Morbid
is one of those bands I love to refer people to when they say that metal takes
no talent. This is off their album
Covenant, which legendary in the underground metal season. One of my friends, used to refer to Morbid
Angel as Morbid Anal because they are so tight and demonstrate it allowing no
doubt that this is at the level that the best known classical composers like
Bach, and Beethoven where able to achieve.
This stuff is not easy to play, and likewise generally as talent
increases, audience size decreases.
Morbid Angel is easily one of my most favorite bands, but I have yet to
hear any of their new album which some people claim they abandoned metal, and
they even got death threats for putting that one out.
