The Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the most original rock bands ever. Blood Sugar Sex Magik, the album which this song is on is a great album, such that Give It Away is, but par for the album. Unfortunately, a band of beginners probably would not be able to perform this song, especially since it requires some tricky rhythms and a good bassist. Thus, not everything played in pop music is impossible to be appreciated at higher levels of study. However, songs like Give It Away are known to exhaust simple minds such that they need some variation, and added simplicity to prevent a thought from occurring. I included this song mainly due to the radio play it gets, meaning that it is a song beginners commonly listen to, but will probably be unlikely to be able to perform.
