2nd ** Pass Out of Existence by Chimaira – Has Potential, But They Must Practice More to Get Heavier

This is the catchy slam dance music that metalcore tries to be.  However, slam dancing is now illegal, as I understand it in my state.  The question is whether or not a band like Chimaira can survive without mosh pits at their concerts.  One thing that frustrates me about this music is that you can hear the Hebrew overtones, yet even though this is slower than speed metal, even the better bands in these music styles seem to be right hand heavy, where the right hand is associable with mercy.  If they were heavier with the left hand in their music, then to me the music would sound heavier because in my opinion judgment is harsher than mercy.  There is nothing that slams harder than metal judgment.  That is that Chimaira seems to be trying to use distortion to make their music heavier, when really heaviness on guitar comes from properly fretting, rather than heavy picking.
